Watch a Japanese Rapper Play Uncharted 2 Live

Sony promotes next week's big yoge release.

You're not going to be able to play Uncharted 2 for a little over a week. But how would you like a chance to watch someone else play it?

Sony is giving Uncharted 2 a promotional push here with a live play session on Nico Nico Video. Tonight, from 18:00 to 20:00, BOSE, member of rap group Schadarapparr, will play the game on the video streaming service. He'll also be providing commentary.

Freestyle rap commentary? Probably not. But most likely informed commentary, at least. BOSE is actually known for being a major gamer. He appears regularly in Famitsu's monthly DVD magazine Famitsu Wave through a segment titled "Bose's ** Time." He also has a column at Earthbound creator Shigesato Itoi's website.

Sony will be tapping Bose for a variety of Uncharted 2 promotions outside of the Nico Nico broadcast. He will appear in commercials that feature his play commentary.

He will also be appearing at events, the first of which is a retail demo event at the Akihabara Yodobashi Camera this weekend. Players will be able to sample the game from the 10th through the 12th (the 12th is a holiday). Bose will appear in a talk event at 14:00 on the 11th.

Uncharted 2 arrives here in Japan on October 15.
