The Negotiator Set for DS

If The Negotiator DS were an American game, we'd be taking control of digitized versions of Samuel L. Jackson and Kevin Spacey. But The Negotiator DS is a Japanese game from Alpha Unit. So, we'll be controlling this:

That's actress/model Ryoko Yonekura, star of TV Asahi weekly drama The Negotiator. Alpha Unit's DS title is based off that series, which is soon entering its second season and will hit the silver screen in February.

In the game version, players take control of Reiko Usagi, the character portrayed by Yonekura. A member of SIT (Special Investigation Team), your work involves negotiating hostage releases and making sure incidents are resolved without conflict. In the game's various scenarios, you'll have to conduct an investigation, make contact with hostage takers, and take part in negotiations.

For those familiar with the series, part of the fun could be seeing the show's cast on the DS screen. The game uses live action images of major cast members.
