Gran Turismo 5 Hits Tokyo Motor Show
Sony teaming with Toyota for digital version of new sports concept car.
One of the Gran Turismo series grandest traditions will be continuing this year as Sony puts its world beating racing series on display at next week's Tokyo Motoro Show. The company shared details today.
Gran Turismo 5 will be playable in a special Gran Turismo booth just off the main floor of this year's show. Sony is holding a special tie-up with Toyota which will give players a chance to try out the new FT-86 Concept sports car in digital form. The special version of GT5 that's being prepared for the show has been given the name "GT5 41st Tokyo Motor Show 2009 Version."
PSP's Gran Turismo, which saw release earlier this month, will also be on playable display. Those who visit Sony's booth with their PSP and a copy of Gran Turismo will also be able to download a set of 100 cars.
The 41st Tokyo Motor Show will open its doors for the public from October 24 through November 4. Outside of the Gran Turismo display, this year's show will feature 39 world car premiers.
The press will get a sneak peak at the event on the 23rd. Sony usually holds a Gran Turismo related press conference on the press day where it shares new details on upcoming GT product. It hasn't officially announced such a press conference for this year, but don't be too surprised if you get some GT news on Friday.
