Nippon Ichi Announces Prinny Sequel

Prinny got a taste for main character status in the side scrolling platformer Prinny: Can I Really Be the Hero?, and now there's no stopping him! Dengeki Online reports that the Disgaea series mascot character will be back in the starring role for an upcoming sequel.

Nippon Ichi unfortunately decided against providing actual details on the followup. Even the name is tentatively listed as just Prinny 2. A logo shown in the Dengeki article has some mysterious text which could possibly translate to "Dawn's XXX Big Battle!!".

The sequel announcement came as part of an announcement of a "Best Price" budget version for the original, which was first released here in November 2008. The budget version arrives on November 26 at ¥1,980 for a retail UMD and ¥1,500 for direct download.
