5pb. CEO Promises Xbox 360 Support
Microsoft has the backing of the industry's cutest executive.
5pb. CEO Chiyomaru Shikura is widely recognized as one of the industry's most adorable executives. He's much cuter that Square Enix CEO Yoichi "Imperial Hot" Wada. He's somehow even cuter than Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata. He really does look like he should be in a boy band.
Shikura is also a big Xbox 360 fan. He admitted this during a talk event held on the 2nd at Hosei University. As reported at Famitsu.com, Shikura was asked at the event if 5pb. would continue supporting the 360. "I personally like it. It's unmatched in expressive breadth," responded Shikura (by "expressive breadth," he appears to be referring to content rather than technology -- see below). "We'll definitely keep supporting it in the future."
5pb. has been one of the 360's biggest supporters here, with a vast array of love sims and shooters (some faced with a bit of controversy). At the event, Shikura discussed the company's most recent 360 offerings, Steins; Gate and Chaos; Head Noah. Yes, both games have semicolons in their titles.
Regarding the Chaos Head Noah, a PC port, he said that the 360 was the only consumer hardware that could see the game unchanged from its PC counterpart. Steins; Gate was an original Xbox 360 game, but this too was apparently brought to 360 after considering the breadth of the game's content.
