The first Bioshock game was released in Japan through yoge specialists Spike. Bioshock 2 will make the trip courtesy of another publisher.

D3 Publisher announced earlier this week that it has signed a deal with America's Take-Two Interactive for the domestic publishing rights to Bioshock 2. A Japanese release for the game is planned for early 2010.

The original Biosock sold over 3 million copies worldwide and was one of the most critically acclaimed games of 2008, D3 noted in its press release today. The sequel is scheduled for release in other parts of the world in early 2010 as well.
