Professor Layton Mystery Solved

"Who am I" revealed to be famous stage actor.

Level-5 left attendees of last week's Professor Layton and the Devil's Flute event with somewhat of a cliffhanger puzzle. Members of the voice acting staff took hold of placards spelling out the words "Who Am." At the end of the row was a masked person with the placard "I."

The voice staff spells out Who Am I at last week's premiere.

So who is this "Who Am I" person? The answer came today at a premiere event for the upcoming Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva movie.

As reported at 4Gamer, the event was held at Waseda University as part of a study surrounding games and movies in the "new cross media era." The voice cast for Layton, Luke and the like were joined by Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino and director Masakazu Hashimoto.

The surprise "Who Am I" was revealed towards the end of the event to be stage actor Masachika Ichimura. Hino introduced Ichimura as the voice actor for the final key role in Layton's second season of titles. As players work through the second season, they'll learn of the connection between Layton and primarily villain Death Call. Ichimura's character is tie closely with both characters.
