First Look: God Eater Mission Pack

Screens, videos and details on the pre-order bonus and download mission pack.

Namco Bandai shared first details on God Eater's bonus item last week. Today, it provided a closer look, complete with video.

Why would you want a video of a bonus item? It makes sense for God Eater, because the bonus item is a download code that gives you exclusive access to a mission.

As detailed last week, those who pre-order God Eater will get a download card. It looks a little something like this:

The beast on the card is an Aragami creature (these are the "gods" you "eat") named Susano.

On launch day, Namco Bandai will release a free mission pack titled Download Mission Pack Ver.1.0. This will be downloadable via PlayStation Store.

The mission pack includes two missions. One is a "challenge mission" titled Dancing Ogre. It looks a little something like this:

The other mission is "Kami wo Shoku Mamono." This is where the the download card comes into play. To play this mission, you'll need to download a mission unlock key by using the product code on the card.

The mission looks like this:

You can also see the bonus mission in video form here:

As detailed last week, you can combine the item you get by defeating Susano with items you collect in the God Eater demo to create special Susano equipment, a process that looks something like this:

You'll be able to experience all this for yourself when God Eater hits next week.
