Metroid: Other M Official Site Opens
Is that a mysterious message from Samus Aran?
It's now due for release this Summer, so it's probably a good thing that Nintendo has gotten around to opening an official site for Metroid: Other M.
That appears to be the final name for the Metroid title that was shown at last year's E3. As reported then, the game is being developed by Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden development studio Team Ninja with the support of Metroid co-creator Yoshio Sakamoto.
The official site opens up with a female voice delivering a mysterious message: "That Dream -- it was like watching a playback of a tragedy that actually occurred."
A gentle piano theme plays in the background as a scene fades in showing a female character (possibly Metroid hero Samus Aran?) standing against a cityscape at sunset.
And that's it at the moment. According to the teaser site, Metroid: Other M is an action title and is set for Summer 2010 release.
