Sakaguchi: Last Story Development Nearing Final Phases

Just in case it wasn't clear, The Last Story is indeed the new title Hironobu Sakaguchi has been teasing at the Mistwalker corporate site over the past year or so.

Following Nintendo's announcement on Friday, Sakaguchi made a short post about the game and also shared a text-only logo:

In the post, Sakaguchi simply notes that the new title has at last been announced and states that we can expect information to be gradually released from here on out. He also says that the staff continued to work on battle balance on the day of the announcement.

The Last Story is currently flagged with a 2010 release. But it looks like it could be an early 2010. "Production is nearing the final phase," writes Sakaguchi.
