Square Enix Had a Little Recall of its Own Last Week

RPG giant offering replacement for DS edutainment title.

Tales of Graces was in the headlines yesterday because of Namco Bandai's official announcement of a recall. Namco Bandai will be sending out replacement discs that fix a series of bugs in last year's big Wii RPG.

This was actually the second recall in as many weeks. Last week, Square Enix had a recall for a lower key title.

The Square Enix recall was for a December 2009 DS edutainment title called "Maji de Manabu LEC de Ukaru DS Kikenbutsu Toriatsukaisha Otsushu 4-Shu." As with other games in the LEC de Ukaru series, this title trains users for a license examination, in this case a license that gives you authority to handle dangerous substances. See the official site for a closer look.

The "LEC" in the game's name is a test preparation school (that's one of the school's teachers to the right). Square Enix referred parties to LEC's call center for specifics on what's wrong with the title.

Those who are interested in obtaining a replacement copy that fixes whatever is wrong with the title can see the Square Enix support page.
