Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker Deluxe Pack Includes Jigsaw Puzzle and Box

Kojima Productions is really playing this "puzzle" thing out for Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker. Following the start earlier this month of the "Piece Walker" online jigsaw puzzle battle site comes news that a special version of the game will include an actual jigsaw puzzle.

The special version is the Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker Famitsu DX Pack. Yes, that's "Famitsu" as in Weekly Famitsu, Japan's biggest video game magazine. It's not uncommon for them to offer special versions of games. Famitsu's parent, Enterbrain, is actually a game publisher itself.

The Famitsu DX Pack includes a copy of Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker, a "Peace Water" water bottle, and a "Love & Piece" jigsaw puzzle with poster.

The jigsaw puzzle includes 1,000 pieces resulting in a large 500x750mm image. Konami is also throwing in a mini A4 poster showing how the puzzle looks when completed. The image is actually an original design just for this package.

All those pieces will come packed in a box. Not just any box, though. Konami is currently designing a box themed around the game's "Love Pack," a "camouflage box" that Snake carries around with him.

If I'm not mistaken, the "Peace Water" water bottle seems like it's meant to look like a grenade. Be careful when pulling it out!

The Famitsu DX Pack can be yours for ¥8,495 opposite the standard Peace Walker on April 29. It's being sold exclusively through Enterbrain's Ebten site.
