PSP Remains at Top (and Bottom) of Media Create Hardware Chart
Kenka Bancho 4 out performs predecessors; Endless Frontier falters.
As reported earlier in the week, Kenka Bancho's fourth installment topped Media Create's software sales chart this week. Not surprisingly, the PSP managed to top the hardware chart as well, although Wii was a close second.
PSP sold 37,338 units, up a few thousand over last week. The Wii also had somewhat of a surge, although the exact reason is not clear. Perhaps the system got new customers following the start of Nintendo's budget lineup.
Here's the full hardware chart for February 22 to February 28. Sales for the week prior are in parenthesis.

Media Create also provided some software sales analysis at its ranking page.
Kenka Bancho 4, first this week, is off to a good start compared to its predecessors. Part 3 debuted in November 2008 with 54,000 first week sales. The new one sold 72,000, and 72% of its stock.
Endless Frontier Exceed, on the other hand, sold less than its predecessor. The original Endless Frontier sold 98,000 units in its first week in May 2008, well above Exceed's 65,000 debut.
One Piece Unlimited Cruise Episode 1 was the only entry in Nintendo's "Everyone's Recommendation" budget lineup to crack the top 30, placing 26. Making the cut for the top 50 were Oboro Muramasa at 31, Dragon Ball Z Sparking! Meteor at 40, and 428 at 49.
