God Eater Topped the Charts in February

First PSP game atop Enterbrain monthly charts in one year.

God Eater is the latest Monster Hunter-like game to perform well on the PSP.

It was number one for the first two weeks of its release, and has yet to leave the top 10. It should be no wonder then to learn that God Eater grabbed the top spot in Enterbrain's monthly sales chart for February.

The chart was provided today by Famitsu.com. Here's a full look:

  • God Eater (Namco Bandai, PSP): 496,050
  • Dragon Quest VI (Square Enix, DS): 335,926 (1,245,907)
  • New Super Mario Bros. Wii (Nintendo, Wii): 211,614 (3,419,880)
  • Resident Evil 5 Alternative Edition (Capcom, PS3): 186,340
  • Friend Collection (Nintendo, DS): 162,619 (2,930,498)
  • Star Ocean 4 The Last Hope International (Square Enix, PS3): 129,996

According to the Famtisu.com report, God Eater is the first PSP game to top the monthly charts since February 2009's Tales of the World Radiant Mythology 2. It's also the first original title -- that is, not a sequel and not a character spinoff -- since January 2008's Wii Fit.
