This is how much moneys Japanese developers make

Producers make the most yens. Debuggers, not so much.

Here are some stats on Japanese game developer employment, as assembled in a report from Digital Content Association of Japan and passed along at Hachimaki.

  • Average salary: ¥5,184,995
  • Average age: 33.79 years
  • Average numbers of years worked: 6.59 years
  • Most common age group: 30s, at 52.8%

DCA also provided role specific salaries:

  • Producer: ¥6,925,000
  • Director: ¥5,636,279
  • Sound: ¥5,590,625
  • Network Engineer: ¥5,225,000
  • Programmer: ¥4,641,390
  • "Graphicer": ¥4,238,588
  • Planner: ¥4,096,340
  • Debugger: ¥2,583,333

I'm not sure what a "graphicer" is exactly, but I'm going to guess it's a graphic artist.

This is the first time DCA has fully investigated game-related employment.
