Yasuhiro Wada Leaves MMV Director Post
Company cites personal reasons for resignation. Wada to remain as advisor.
Yasuhiro Wada will be resigning his post as Director and Chief Creative Officer of Marvelous Entertainment's Digital Content Company, the branch of the company that handles video games. Marvelous announced the change yesterday. It will take effect on March 31.
As reason for his resignation, Marvelous simply cited personal reasons.
Marvelous has been mired in financial difficulties of late, but this was not mentioned in the notice announcing Wada's resignation.
Wada will still have a role with the company. Starting April 1, he will serve as an advisor.
In addition to overseeing game operations at Marvelous, Wada was executive producer on such games as No More Heroes and Little King Story. He's also the producer of the Harvest Moon series. It's unclear if his role on the development side of things will change with his resignation.
[note: a previous version of this article erroneously listed Wada as CEO of Marvelous.]
