Mega Man 10's Winning Box Art Announced

Follow the instructions to assemble your own box for the download-only title.

What if the internet was broken and Capcom had been forced to release Mega Man 10 as a package game? The box art at your local game shop might have looked something like this:

Or, perhaps this:

Or, how about this:

These were the winning submissions in Capcom and Nico Nico Seiga's (that's a still picture version of video sharing site Nico Nico Douga) Mega Man 10 package illustration contest. Capcom announced the top submissions today at the Mega Man 10 official site.

The top illustration, drawn by a Mr. Y.K from Aichi Prefecture, won the "Capcom Prize." Producer Hironobu Takeshita said that this submission looked like something that would draw in kids at a toy shop. The light in the backdrop looks similar to an effect used in the 3 and 4 package illustration and the 9 main illustration.

Second from the top is a submission Hiroshima's Yujin. This one won the Rockman 10 prize. Takeshita noted that making CG versions of the characters must have taken some time. Dr. Wiley has a somewhat kind look to him. Perhaps this was influenced by the Mega Man 10 scenario?

Third from the top is from Jintaro from Hiroshima. This one won the Nico Nico Prize

These three winners get 10 actual boxes based off their box design, one signed by Mega Man 10 staffers. They also get a variety of goods, from soundtracks to an E Can Cushion.

Capcom also shared five runners up, shown here:

Left to right, top to bottom, these are from Azi, Em, Miyako, Rio and Neomaru.

You can assemble these packages into actual boxes if you like. Capcom has provided instructions in both Japanese and English.
