Date Set For Hatsune Miku's PlayStation 3 Debut

Unique PSP expansion arrives next month.

Hatsune Miku is making her PlayStation 3 debut in exactly one month. Sega announced today a release date of June 24 for Hatsune Miku Project Diva Dreamy Theater.

As previously detailed, this isn't actually a full PS3 Hatsune Miku game. Dreamy Theater is a piece of PS3 spec download content for PSP's Hatsune Miku Project Diva.

Once you've downloaded Dreamy Theater to your PS3, you'll be ale to hook up your PSP to your PS3 via USB and play the PSP title's rhythm game component on your television with vastly upgraded visuals courtesy of the PS3 hardware. Dreamy Theater also adds a new "Play List" feature which allows you to select your favorite songs and PVs for viewing.

The game works with your current Project Diva save file, so you can make use of all your songs and modules as they are. Additionally, it's compatible with the current Miku Uta Okawari and the upcoming Motto Okawari Rin/Len/Luka download packs.

Dreamy Theater may not be quite the full PS3 game, but it does look like a bit more than your run-of-the-mill download content. The pricing seems to reflect this, as Sega will be charging ¥3,000.

You can see more on Dreamy Theater at Sega's Hatsune Miku official site.
