Second Final Fantasy XIII Record Announced
New record focuses on orchestral and vocal songs. Pre-orders now being taken.
Square Enix dabbled in vinyl for W/F: Music from Final Fantasy XIII, a limited edition record featuring select tracks from the RPG hit. The experiment was apparently success, as a second record is on the way for the game.
The new one is titled W/F: Music from Final Fantasy XIII -Gentle Reveries-. The focus this time is on orchestral and vocal recordings, all selected by composer Masashi Hamauzu.
Here's the song list:
SIDE A
- 1. Final Fantasy XIII Prelude
- 2. Saber's Edge
- 3. Sera's Theme/Overseas Version
- 4. Fighting Fate
SIDE B
- 1. March of the Dreadnoughts
- 2. Sulyya Springs
- 3. The Yaschas Massif
- 4. Will to fight
The ¥2,800 record will, like its predecessor, be limited to pre-orders. Orders will be taken through the Square Enix e-Store from May 26 through June 16, with the product shipping out on June 30. See the product info page for further details.
Coinciding with this announcement, Square Enix also said that it plans on reissuing the W/F: Music from Final Fantasy XIII record. Those who missed out the first time will now have a chance to get this collectors item.
