God Eater is widely considered Namco Bandai's Monster Hunter. It's even getting some Monster Hunter-style promotions.

Namco Bandai announced today plans for the God Eater Fes 2010 event. This event, focused exclusively on God Eater, will feature a time attack tournament, a God Eater special stage, a display corner with illustrations and comics, a demo space, and goods sales.

More mysteriously, Namco Bandai says that it will hold a "New Project Announcement Meeting" during the event. Could we be getting first details on a sequel?

God Eater Fes 2010 will be held from at Akihabara UDX on July 11 from 10:30 to 17:00. Those interested in participating in the time attack tournament will need to register at the official site starting June 3.

Joining the announcement of God Eater Fes, Namco Bandai opened up a Twitter account for the series.
