Yakuza PSP Gets Real Gravure Models

Sega made formal announcement today of a few celebrity tie-ups it has planned for Black Panther: Yakuza New Chapter.

The new PSP entry in the Yakuza series will have three of Kamurocho's most popular nightlife attractions designed in the image of three real world models. Gravure idol Yuu Tejima and model Hoshiaya will appear as hostesses in the game's host club component. Talent Anne Nakamura will appear as a pole dancer.

The three will lend the game not just their voices, but their names and likenesses as well. This is first confirmation from Sega that the PSP entry in the series will make use of the 3D face capture technology that was used in PS3's Yakuza 4.

Some of this may sound familiar, as the information leaked out of Famitsu in advance yesterday. Now get your first look!

Yuu Tejima

Tejima is a regular on a number of variety shows and TV dramas.

Hoshiaya

Hoshiaya was formerly a model with "Happie nuts" (I have no idea what that is, and there's no way I'm entering "Happie nuts" into a search engine!) She now works for a variety of fashion magazines.

Regarding her Yakuza role, she said, "I play games, but the CG in the latest games is amazing. I always wondered how it was made, but with this recording the mystery has been cleared (laughs). Definitely come and met the real me."

Anne Nakamura

A talent and model. She's a regular on Fuji TV's Suporuto.
