Capcom Announces Winning Felyne Designs For Monster Hunter Diary
Fan-created Felyne to appear in upcoming PSP title.
Back at Monster Hunter Diary's announcement, Capcom detailed a contest where members of the Monster Hunter Club fan club could submit their own Felyne designs for possible inclusion in the final game. Today, Capcom announced the winning designs.
When playing the PSP title next month, look forward to a meeting with this fan-created Felyne:
The Felyne's name is Chunti. According to his creator, Toku, Chunti is a fortune teller who's said to be quite accurate and has told the fortune of over 20,000 Felynes.
Toku's original submission looked like this:
In the parentheses at the top, Toku explained that the "Chunti" name comes from a combination of "Fortune" and "Teller."
In addition to the honor of having his creation appear in Monster Hunter Diary, Toku will get a copy of the game, a collection of Felyne goods, and some Monster Hunter fan club stickers.
Capcom also gave a look at some other winning submissions. These won't be appearing in the game.

Capcom also honored over 90 other submissions with various awards. Monster Hunter Club members can see these at the Monster Hunter Club site.
