Seaman creator Yoot Saito has a game on the way for iPad. In The Tower for iPad, you won't find any smack-talking fishmen, but you will find some addictive simulation gameplay.
The Tower originally appeared in 1995 on Mac and Windows computers before being adapted for Game Boy Advance and then DS. The iPad version is based off the original computer versions.
The basic concept is in place -- build a tower floor by floor, placing elevators and escalators and other facilities while keeping within budget. Your goal is to end up with a tower of over 15,000 residents.
The iPad version changes up the rules just a bit, limiting you to just one parking lot, one security office and one waste processing facility for the entire building. Of course, the iPad version is also seeing some major interface changes.
A release through Digitoys is set for some time this month. The standard price is ¥900, but for the first two weeks, it will be discounted to ¥450.
