Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded Date Formally Announced

Official site hosts new trailer video.

Just three months until the next Kingdom Hearts.

Word leaked out over the weekend about Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded's date through the usual source, Jump. Today, Square Enix made an official announcement.

As detailed in Jump, Re:Coded will be released on October 7. It will carry a ¥5,490 price point.

Re:Coded is a remake of Kingdom Hearts Coded, a cell phone game that was released last year in installments. Among the changes for the DS version is the adoption of the battle system from PSP's Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep.

Coinciding with the date announcement, Square Enix updated the game's official site with a "special trailer." The clip can be accessed in the site's movie section, or streamed here:

The trailer offers the usual mix of cinematics and gameplay. Be on the lookout for a glimpse of Cloud, a maze sequence, a side scrolling platforming sequence, and a mini game that's set up like a Final Fantasy battle.
