Sega Readying Downloadable Hatsune Miku
Virtual idol becoming digital download for sequel.
Hatsune Miku may be a virtual idol, but her PSP game releases have thus far been anything but virtual, as the first Hastune Miku Project Diva and its two budget rereleases were both retail-only.
That's going to change for the Hatsune Miku Project Diva 2nd. Sega announced today that it will be giving a download release to the upcoming sequel. The download version will hit PlayStation Store on August 31, priced at ¥5,400.
You'll lose out on a few things if you choose to download. First, you won't get the Nendoroid Plus pre-order bonus that retail buyers will get. You're also going to have to watch in envy for over a month as retail buyers play their copy. The ¥6,040 retail version hits on July 29.
