This Week's Top Yakuza Hostesses

Sega is holding web-based voting to help determine the girls who will appear as hostesses in the next PS3 Yakuza game. You can read all the details here.

The Yakuza team updated the series' official blog with the current results one week into voting process. Here's where the girls stand and what the Yakuza team had to say about them.

No. 5: Saaya Kawai

A nail stylist who loves the Yakuza series.

No. 4: Yuka Ohnishi

She was apparently cheered on by soccer players. Yuka is a soccer coach.

No. 3: Ai Sakura

The Agejo maid is in in third place.

No. 2: Haru

She took second place with her enigmatic charms.

No. 1: Satomi Tateishi

She could get revenge!

I'm not sure what they're talking about in the comment about Satomi. As far as I know, she's just a sweet college student. Maybe you can find some clues into her dark, vengeful side by watching the videos at the audition site.

You can also influence the final outcome by voting at the site. Sega isn't letting gamers totally decide the final cast, but the vote result will apparently influence the final choice, which I assume Nagoshi will make himself after... vetting... the girls.

(Actually, I'm sure they've already been vetted, seeing as how they made it into the second round.)
