Gran Turismo 5 Gets a Date and Special Blue PS3
Sony celebrates the release of its long awaited racing sim.
Sony Computer Entertainment Japan announced today a final domestic release date of November 3 for Gran Turismo 5. The game will carry a retail price of ¥7,980.
To commemorate the release of the long awaited racer, the first print run will take the form of a limited edition that includes a 308 page booklet and a product code for downloading five cars from PlayStation Store. The booklet includes a car history and tips on tuning.
The package shows a logo indicating the game to be 3D compatible. This is just one of the specs listed in the spec list included in Sony's press release. The full list reads:

- Course Count: Over 20 locations and 70 variations planned
- A-Spec Mode/B-Spec Mode Included
- Course Maker Functionality
- 3D Play Compatibility

Sony shared images of the bonus cars that are downloadable using the bonus download code: Audi R10 TDI Stealth Model, Honda NSX GT500 Stealth Model, McLaren F1 Stealth Model, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Stealth Model, and Nissan GT-R GT500 Stealth Model.
Joining the software release, Sony is readying a hardware bundle. Priced at ¥35,980, the PlayStation 3 Gran Turismo Racing Pack includes a 160 gigabyte PS3 and a copy of the first print run version of the game. The system and included Dual Shock 3 are a special "Titanium Blue," designed in the image of a muffler.
