Cave announced today a final release date for the iPhone/iPod touch version of DoDonPachi Resurrection.

Mobile blasters worldwide will be able to download the game starting August 26. Pricing is set at $8.99 (US/Canada), although the first four days will see a reduced price of $4.99.

Cave will also be offering a free Lite version following release of the retail version.

This version of DoDonPachi Resurrection is Cave's second iPhone/iPod shooter project to follow Espgaluda II. Cave has added an iPhone Mode that's tuned to the mobile format and a new "SM" scoring syste that has players switch between "Slaughter" and "Menace" modes.
