Konami has formally announced its plans for a Metal Gear series cosplay tournament to be held at this year's Tokyo Game Show. The event was previously mentioned by series producer Hideo Kojima during the Sendai leg of of the Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker Summer Camp tournament a couple of weeks back.

Formally known as "Metal Gear Cosplay Camp," the tournament will consist of two judgment phases. The first requires that interested parties send in pictures of themselves or their groups in full Metal Gear cosplay attire. Konami will accept submissions through September 6.

Those who pass this first round will appear in Konami's Tokyo Game Show booth on September 18 to be voted on by attendees and a panel of judges. Konami will be announcing the guest judges in a future update.

Interested cosplayers should visit the special cosplay page.
