Is this the end of Yakuza?
Mysterious ad for new PlayStation 3 Yakuza game pops up in Famitsu.
Sega's promotional campaign for the next PlayStation 3 Yakuza game took a major twist this week as this mysterious ad popped up in Famitsu:
The two page ad appears on the first two pages of the magazine as you open up the cover.
Depicted in the ad is the primary entrance of the main Yakuza setting of Kamurocho. Only something is different. It looks like the city has been hit by an earthquake
So far, Sega has said little about the new game. It hasn't even announced a name.
Series producer Toshihiro Nagoshi made first announcement of the game in late June. In an interview with Famitsu, Nagoshi said the game's concept and keyword is "destruction."
Since that announcement, Sega has revealed a series of playable characters. Four have been announced so far: Goro Majima, Kiryu Kazuma, Shun Akiyama and Ryuji Goda. These characters all appeared in previous Yakuza games.
The new game is set to get its full reveal at the Tokyo Game Show next month.
