Capcom's Tokyo Game Show special site hinted at some possible character reveals for Marvel vs Capcom 3 at the September show. Now producer and "total director" Ryota Niitsuma has confirmed it. Capcom will be showing off new characters for the game.

Niitsuma revealed this today in the latest post at the MVC3 development blog. Having just returned from Gamescom in Europe, he said that he's working on a number of things in preparation for TGS. These include setting up new character reveals and assembling some special guests for the MVC3 stage show.

In a later update to the post, he hinted that announcements could come before TGS, possibly when you least expect it. He suggested keeping your eyes opened leading up to the show.

It should be noted here that Niitsuma may not be speaking about announcements related to MVC3 itself, but announcements related to the game's TGS showing. Among the things waiting to be announced, Capcom has yet to reveal the bonus goodie that attendees will get when they sample the game.

MVC3 will be making its domestic playable debut at TGS, which kicks off on September 16. The first two days of the event will be press and business partners only. The Saturday and Sunday will be open to the public.
