New Yakuza Game Gets a Name
Sega adds "Of The End" subtitle for upcoming PS3 title.
After months of referring to Sega's upcoming PS3 Ryu ga Gotoku (aka Yakuza) game as "upcoming PS3 Ryu ga Gotoku game," we can now call it by its final name: "Ryu ga Gotoku Of the End."
Famitsu reveals the final name this week in its "News Express" section. The magazine just lists the name and logo, with no additional details on the game itself.
The "Of the End" part of the name is written in the logo in Roman characters. Aside from that, it looks like a typical Ryu ga Gotoku logo.
Of particular note is the lack of a number in the name. Many have been referring to this game as Ryu ga Gotoku 5, as it's the next major entry to follow Ryu ga Gotoku 4.
With this tiny reveal in the magazine's news column, it's presumable that Sega will be announcing the final name later today. The official site was scheduled for an update today, so expect a look at the logo shortly.
