Now Covering: JAMMA Arcade Expo
New Shining Force, Border Break, BlazBlue and Pac-Man games being shown at annual arcade expo.
It's the week before Tokyo Game Show, and arcade gamers know what that means! That's right, it's time for JAMMA!
Every year just prior to TGS, the Japan Amusement Machinery Manufacturers Association (JAMMA) holds the Amusement Machine Show at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, the same venue as TGS. They've been doing this for quite a while, it seems, as this year's expo has a "48" in the name.
Sega, Namco Bandai and Taito usually announce new games at the annual event. This year, Sega will be showing a Shining Force Cross followup and a new version of Border Break. Namco Bandai has a four-player retro-styled Pac-Man game going on display. Taito will be showing off its super wide-screen Darius game.
We've sent out Alex to cover the event live at Twitter. To see images and posts directly from the show floor, follow the newly started Andriasang.com Mobile Twitter.
While you wait for announcements, check out this pre-show coverage:
