This was shared today under a section of the Dead Rising 2 official site called "Samurai Dead Rising."

According to Capcom, Samurai Dead Rising is a collaborative animation project with animator and illustrator Norio Shioyama, who did the character design work and art himself.

Here's some supporting imagery that Capcom sent out to the press, including a character sketch from Shioyama.
