Yakuza Of the End Video Only at TGS

Sega releases updated exhibit list showing a few new games.

Daigo Dojima returns in Yakuza Of the End. This is one of a handful of first screenshots Sega shared today.

Were you somehow expecting Yakuza Of the End to be playable at the Tokyo Game Show next week even though we got our first screenshots only today? Then there's some bad news for you. Sega released an updated exhibit list today, and the list confirms OtE to be video-only.

If you've been following Sega's yearly Yakuza release schedule, this falls in line with past titles. Yakuza 4 saw a similar pre-TGS unveiling last year, and appeared in video-only form at the event.

For Yakuza 4, Sega arranged a special sit-down viewing theater. The game was also featured around the booth, with a special photo area where attendees could take pictures with the girls who'd won a contest to be hostesses in the game, and multiple stage shows.

For Of the End, Sega has only said thus far that the game will be featured in a daily stage show with series director Toshihiro Nagoshi and this year's seven hostess winners. This will be broadcast live for those who will not be attending the show. Further details on the live broadcast schedule can be found here

Outside of Yakuza, Sega shared an updated list of partner games today. New games include:

  • Pupe Girl DS2 (Alvion, DS)
  • Record of Agarest War 2 (Compile Heart, PS3)
  • Koihime Musou Otome Ryouran Sangokushi (Yeti, PSP)
  • Pia Carot Youkoso!! 4 (GN Software, Xbox 360)
  • 77 Beyond the Milky Way (GN Software, PSP)
  • Little Busters! Converted Edition (Prototype, PSP)

Of these, only Pupe Girl DS 2 will be playable. Everything else is video-only.
