Street Fighter IV Producer Hints at Character Announcement For This Week
Could the new characters that appeared at the recent location test be formally announced at TGS?
Super Street Fighter IV had its second location test earlier this week. Look around the internets, and you're likely to find details from the test, including the identity of the new characters Capcom has readied for arcade players. (I suppose I could write them here, but that wouldn't be "fun.")
Even though the details have leaked out, producer Yoshinori Ono saw fit to write a rare Japanese language message at his Twitter today thanking players for keeping quiet about "that and that" regarding the game. He finished with, "We'll be announcing that and that at the appropriate place this week."
The Tokyo Game Show kicks off this week on Thursday. Capcom will be formally announcing the home version's new costumes at the show (Ono provided a glimpse last week), so perhaps we can expect some official details on the new arcade version characters as well.
Or maybe Ono doesn't mean an actual "place" in the physical sense, and the announcement will come through the game's official site.
Whatever the case, fighting fans should keep an eye out for arcade announcements later this week.
