Akihabara pop group AKB48 has, as their name suggests, an amazing 48 members. It may be hard to pick a favorite, but in Namco Bandai's new love sim you're going to have to do just that.

Just announced today, "AKB1/48 Idol to Koishitara" ("AKB1/48 If I Loved an Idol") is a new PSP game featuring the members of AKB48 -- all 48 of them. The game starts off with the girls -- all 48 of them -- being gaga for you. They'll take their turns confessing their love of you and trying to tempt you. You'll have to blow off 47 of the girls, picking just one to be your girlfriend.

According to Namco Bandai, this is the first video game to carry official AKB48 licensing. The girls have leant more than just their good looks to the game. The game includes over 10,000 pictures of the girls, 80 minutes of video showing the girls confessing their love to you, and full voice during dialogue sequences.

Namco Bandai is going all out with the packaging for AKB1/48. The game will be available in four versions:

Standard Package

This includes a copy of the game and a picture of one of the girls (included just in the first print run). Priced at ¥5,229.

Limited Production Package

This includes the game, three photos (also a first print run bonus) and a 120 minute UMD video disc with video footage not included in the game. Priced ¥7,329.

Premier Special Pack

Includes the game, the UMD, a 2 disc 240 minute making-of DVD, 10 pictures, set of kiss mark stickers (48), selectable jackets for the game's case (48 variations), a special box, a special PSP-3000 unit, and a set of 48 kiss mark battery covers. Priced ¥36,729.

AKB 1/48 Idol to Koishitara Single Print Run Version Will Only Be Printed Once! Cannot Be Auctioned Box

Includes everything from the Premier Special pack except for the PSP. Priced at ¥10,479.

Namco Bandai will release AKB1/48, pink PSPs and kiss sheets and all, on December 23.
