One of the earliest Dreamcast games gets a revival on Xbox 360 and PS3.

Sega announced today a final release date of September 29 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Sonic Adventure. The game will be priced ¥1,000 on PS3 and 800 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live Arcade.

Sonic Adventure is the first in what is expected to be a series of Dreamcast to PS360 ports. Crazy Taxi is also due for release later this year.

Sega is adding a few improvements to these Dreamcast ports. Sonic Adventure runs at twice the frame rate of the original and will include Trophy, Achievement, Home Reward and Avatar support.

Sega will also be offering download content for Adventure. A download that ups the game to GameCube's Sonic Adventure DX Pack will be available simultaneously for ¥500 and 400 MS Points.

Both games will be on playable display at the Tokyo Game Show.
