Kadokawa Games has announced plans to bring the popular light novel, manga and anime series "A Certain Scientific Railgun" to the PSP.

A Certain Scientific Railgun, known in Japanese as "Toaru Kagaku no Railgun," is a spinoff of A Certain Magical Index. The anime version off which the PSP title is based is set in Academy City and tells the story of a group of girls with magical powers. You can read a full synopsis of the show at its Wikipedia entry.

The game adaptation is said to be a "girls talk adventure game," with a fully voiced adventure part, an original story from Kazuma Kamachi, the creator of the original light novel version, and a conversation system known as the "Family Restaurant Meeting" system. The story is told from the perspective of the show's four heroines: Mikoto, Kuroko, Kazari and Ruiko.

The game adaptation will be released on April 28, 2011, with a limited edition offering a Kuroko Figma figure.
