Level-5 Bringing Mobile Hostess Sim to 3DS

Yes, that is Lupin sitting next to those hostesses.

One of Level-5's biggest success stories for its "ROID" mobile portal was Kyabajoppi, a simulation game where you raise hostesses. The game has apparently been deemed worthy of release on a more advanced platform, as it's now among Level-5's suddenly packed lineup of 3DS titles.

Announced today at the Level-5 Vision press conference in Tokyo, "Kyabajoppi for Nintendo 3DS" switches the game's genre to RPG. You play as a girl who wants to become the number one hostess in Neo Ginza. As you entertain guests who visit your club, you'll also take part in an "epic story" that may even end up touching upon some great danger that threatens the world.

In addition to the new genre, the 3DS version will see some major updates thanks to the 3DS hardware. You'll be able to use the touch pen to directly control your character. The visuals will, as you might expect, be viewable in 3D.

The mobile version was known for character collaborations, and this won't change for the 3DS. In fact, Level-5 says it's scaling this area of the game up. The following guest clientele were included in the screenshots Level-5 distributed today:

  • Fukuzou Moguro
  • Kintaro Yajima (Salaryman Kintaro)
  • Lupin III (Lupin III)
  • Fujiko Mine (Lupin III)
  • Yujiro Hanma (Hanma Baki)
  • Joe (Ashita no Joe)
  • Kaiji Ito (Tobaku Mokushiroku Kaiji)

Kyabajoppi is set for 2011 release. Level-5 shared a link for an official site for the game, although it currently seems to be inaccessible. You can access the mobile version's official site here.
