Konami Readying 25 Disc Suikoden Anniversary Soundtrack
In commemoration of series 15th anniversary.
The Suikoden series turns 15 on December 15 of this year, and Konami is celebrating with a big soundtrack release. How big? 25 discs worth of big! That's even bigger than Square Enix's 20 disc SaGa series soundtrack, which you have to admit was pretty big.
The Genso Suikoden Original Soundtrack Complete Box includes 650 remastered songs across those 25 discs. The discs are Blu-spec, which supposedly improves the audio quality.
The tracks are pulled from the following titles, listed here next to year of release:
- Genso Suikoden (1995)
- Genso Suikoden II (1998)
- Genso Suikoden Gaiden Vol.1 (2000)
- Genso Suikoden Gaiden Vol.2 (2001)
- Genso Suikoden III (2002)
- Genso Suikoden IV (2004)
- Rhapsodia (2005)
- Genso Suikoden V (2006)
- Genso Suikoden Tierkreis (2008)
A release for the soundtrack is planned for March 24, 2011 for ¥25,000, exclusively through Konami Style. The set will come in a special box and will include a booklet. Konami has yet to provide a look at the packaging.
Konami Style will be taking pre-orders for the soundtrack through December 15. The soundtrack will only see release if it reaches a certain number of pre-orders.
