Retailer Lists New Gran Turismo 5 Date
Delayed racer may just make it out by Christmas.
For those hoping to get Gran Turismo 5 as a Christmas or New Years present, online retailer DMM.com has some potentially good news today. The retailer's listing for the game now shows a December 23 release date.
The listing has the game priced at ¥7,980. The first print run will include a 308 page booklet and a download product code for five cars.
While a December 23 date may seem a bit late for the release of a major game, it's actually common practice in Japan. As an example, Final Fantasy XIII was released on December 17 of last year.
The DMM.com date isn't an official announcement from Sony, and may very well be an error. We'll have to wait for word from Sony to be sure.
If you're saying to yourself "But I thought GT5 was coming out on November 3," you should check the headlines from a few weeks back when the game was delayed for undisclosed reasons.
