Kenka Bancho 5: Make Friends By Beating People Up

The latest on the new entry in Spike's school thug series.

Kenka Bancho 5 main character Naoto Naruse is a newcomer to the Amihama area. He's got no friends, so he has to make them.

And how does he do this? By beating people up, of course! The theme of Kenka Bancho 5 is "Bonds that are formed between men through the use of fists." You first use your fists to beat foes up. Eventually, they'll raise a white flag. You can then open up that fist, extending a hand and making the former foe into your new ally.

Repeat this procedure as you travel about Amihama, and you'll extend the areas that are under your control. You can see what parts of the game world you control by opening up your map. Hostile areas are highlighted in red, and when you travel to these areas you'll be challenged.

As previously detailed, you'll also find yourself getting into fights while riding the train to transport between the game's various wards (as Kenka Bancho 5 is the largest entry in the series, train transportation is a must). These fights will take place both on trains and on platforms.

You might notice that Naoto's clothes switch between two types in this latest collection of screenshots. When you first start the game, Naoto will wear the uniform from his prior school. Eventually, he'll switch to the blazer of his new school, Tsurume High School. According to Spike, this is the first time the main character in a Kenka Bancho game has worn a blazer.

Of course, you'll be able to customize your clothing just like in other Kenka Bancho games.
