New Super Mario Bros. Characters Appear in Taiko Drum Master

Our last look at Taiko Drum Master Wii 3 showed cameo appearances from Idolmaster's idols and Monster Hunter Poka Poka Felyne Village's Felynes.

Here are some cameos that will be more recognizable throughout the world:

Joining the New Super Mario Bros. Wii music track, the new Taiko Drum Master game will feature character elements from the Wii smash hit.

Taiko Drum Master Wii 3 also has game music from Muscle Koushinkyoku, Ridge Racer Type 4, Ace Combat X2 Joint Assault, F/A, God Eater, and Pokemon Diamond & Pearl. You'll find over 70 songs.

New songs and characters aren't all that's new, though. The game also adds a four player party mode with seven mini games. Here's a look at all seven:

Wani Wani Panic

Hit the correct notes to strike down the alligators.

Haunted House

Don-chan and friends are lost in a haunted house. Perform well to keep your candle lit.

Pirate Don-chan and the Secret Treasure

All players team up to face off against a giant squid. If you play your taiko skillfully, you may be able to get the treasure.

Alien Attack

Team up with friends to defeat Boss Alien. With good timing, you'll be able to team up to unleash a powerful beam attack.

To the Heavens: Cake Tower

This game is played by two teams of two. Players must work together to ascend a cake tower. If you get caught up in a cream avalanche, you can escape by pounding on the taiko.

Great Honeybee Operation

You fly around a garden of flowers. When a flower blossoms, the player who taps the taiko fastest gets the honey. Be careful of bombs!

Fairyland Pumpkin Derby

A race using pumpkin carts. Speed up by performing well. The player who gets to the castle first wins.
