Around the time of the announcement of DoDonPachi Resurrection Version 1.5 for Xbox 360, Cave said that it would offer the game's "Black Label" version as download content. Today, it shared release and pricing information, and also announced a separate package release.

DoDonPachi Resurrection Black Label is an updated version of Resurrection. It adds the new "Red System," new music, and the ability to switch auto bomb between on and off.

Current Resurrection owners will be able to download the Black Label update on February 3, priced at 1,200 Microsoft Points. The download will include both Black Label Mode, offering the arcade version in full, and a Novice Mode.

A package release for Black Label is also set for February 3, priced at ¥5,040. This includes the same Black Label Mode and Novice modes of the download version, but also adds an Arranged Mode. The Arranged Mode lets you play as the ship from Ketsui and also uses Ketsui's scoring system. The fusion of the two shooters is reflected in the package design.
