It's Keiji Inafune!
Former Capcom superstar reemerges with a new blog and a big smile.
The text says "Keiji Inafune daze!!" I think that means "It's Keiji Inafune!"
It really is him, too! That's the top image at Inafune's new blog, which fortunately keeps the sweet "Inafking" url of his previous blog.
Inafune opened the blog earlier today, reemerging from a brief silent period following his sudden departure from Capcom last month.
The text in Inafune's profile at the blog is "Game creator who's created a large number of games like the Rockman series, the Onimusha series and the Dead Rising series."
The first post at the blog begins with Inafune introducing himself as "Keiji Inafune, without a title."
He says that he has nothing to announce, but when announcements are available, he hopes to make them through the blog.
He also provides a brief status update.
Inafune says that he would like to make games. While he believes this to be obvious, he felt that he should formally state it. By "game," he means software for consoles and portable systems.
He's also interested in different types of games besides these -- social games, online games, and so-forth. He believes that when thinking about games from now on, these areas can't be overlooked.
Outside of games, he's always had an interest in doing movies, books, manga and so forth.
While some may say that he should just make games, Inafune feels that as he's at last been able to free himself of his salaryman life, it would be meaningless if he didn't try things that he couldn't do or were difficult to do as a salaryman.
"I'd like to challenge things that I couldn't do during my salaryman era and greatly exceed my former self."
