A Few Resident Evil 3DS Details

A few details have surfaced from Famitsu's Resident Evil 3DS articles. Resident Evil Revelations is currently 20% complete. Mercenaries 3D is currently 70% complete.

Regarding Mercenaries, it appears that you'll now be able to move while shooting.

New Valkyria Chronicles 3 Character

Famitsu has a look this week at a new Nameless member, the tank commander Gusrug (グスルグ). Gusrug was an activist who attempted to improve the lot of the Darcsen people and was sentenced to become a Nameless as a result. He's the only Nameless who can command a tank.

MMV's Horror Adventure Game for Wii

Marvelous has a new Wii horror adventure game on the way for release on March 24. The game has Balance Board support.

In Japanese, the game's name is written "イケニエノヨル." I'm not sure what this is supposed to be in English -- it's sounded out as "Ikenienoyoru."

MTO Cancels Lots of Games

Were you still looking forward to such MTO vaporware as "Active Dogs"? I removed that from my release list a long time ago, and it looks like that was a good decision, as it's apparently been official cancelled.

This week's Famitsu release chart shows six MTO game cancellations:

  • GT-D (DS)
  • Jewel Pet (DS)
  • Jewel Pet (3DS)
  • San-X All Star (Wii)
  • Iyashi-kei Action (Wii)
  • ActiveDogs (PS3)

Some of these games have been sitting on the release chart for years, so it's not a surprise to see them gone. But Jewel Pet's 3DS version was announced for Spring 2011 release, so maybe something's up at MTO.

Famitsu reveals this week that Tales of Symphonia's Shihna Fujibayashi will be a playable character in Radiant Mythology 3. The magazine also has a look at Shing Meteoryte (Tales of Hearts), Flynn (Vesperia) and Natalia (Abyss).

Also revealed this week are first details on the game's theme song. This will be performed by as a collaboration between Back-On, which worked on the theme song for RM2, and a mysterious artist known as "Me."
