Square Enix's Festive Jump Festa Booth
Christmas trees and... Christmas NieR? Plus, what Square Enix titles were most popular?
Square Enix's Jump Festa booth had some Christmas stylings this year, with themed props surrounding the demo areas.
From the Square Enix Jump Festa photo report page come images of these festive trees:
That's Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded to the left, SaGa 3 to the right, and Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 2 Professional below. Re:Coded was at the event just for tag mode exchanges.
Visitors to the Square Enix goods shop area found a keyhole against the wall next to the CD display. Peer into the keyhole, and:
It's Christmas-themed NieR! (Am I the only one who thought it was a Kingdom Hearts "Nightmare Before Christmas" display at first?)
Joining all the Christmas cheer, the Square Enix booth was full of something less festive: lengthy waits. The Square Enix Jump Festa blog reported waits of 120 minutes for Dissidia Duodecim Final Fantasy and 90 minutes for Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix just thirty minutes after the show kicked off. At this time, The 3rd Birthday had a 30 minute wait. Other games were a bit slower starting off, with SaGa 3, Final Fantasy IV, and Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 2 drawing 10 minute waits early on.
