Now Covering: Nintendo World 2011
3DS gets its playable public debut in Tokyo. Check here for live coverage.
Nintendo's new 3DS portable system has gone on playable display before, but only for members of the press. Today, Nintendo is at long last ready to debut the system in front of the general public. 3DS will go playable today at the Nintendo World 2011 event.
Set in Chiba's Makuhari Messe convention center, the same location for such video game events as Tokyo Game Show, Jump Festa, JAMMA and even Nintendo's own September press-only Nintendo Conference, Nintendo World will host demos for games that have a good chance of ending up as the system's launch titles. Producers and directors will also take to the stage to detail their upcoming games.
We'll be covering the event live throughout the next couple of days. To follow our coverage, visit our Nintendo World 2011 portal. You'll find an RSS feed listing all our articles, galleries and mobile blog posts as they come in, a list of games for the event, and a stage schedule. The stages will be live broadcast on the web, so use the schedule to know when you should tune in.
Check back throughout the day as 3DS makes its public debut.
