Earth Defense Forces 2 Portable was announced less than two weeks ago, but it seems that D3 Publisher is ready to share a release date. Famitsu.com reported earlier today on an April 7 date for the game also detailed unique special edition.

According to the site, the special edition will include two copies of the standard version. This will be priced ¥6,279. Famitsu.com did not share the price of the standard version, but did say that the pricing of the special version makes it a value over buying two copies of the game separately.

Famitsu.com has since deleted its screenshot-filled story, so it's possible that the information was not meant to be published until later.
